Who We are

Superior Excavating, Inc. (SEI), was established in 1966 by Frank E. Baiardi, and currently remains family owned and operated.  SEI has a strong financial standing and large bonding capacity. From day one to today, we have provided quality underground services throughout Michigan. With the help of our great staff, we have built a strong working relationship with many municipalities and development companies.  Our staff receive annual safety training to maintain safe working conditions. SEI owns all equipment necessary to handle any job. Currently, we are known to be one of the area’s leading construction contracting companies.

SEI is qualified to perform public and private underground work.  We have extensive experience and understanding of new construction sanitary sewer, storm sewer drainage systems and water transmission systems.  Also experienced in scheduled and emergency repairs and replacement of municipal water, sewer and storm systems.

SEI has annual reviewed financial statements. Our bonding capacity is 20 million per project and 50 million per aggregate.  We offer more than the standard insurance coverages; including pollution.  No Owner has never undergone any bankruptcy procedures.  SEI has no pending litigation, claims or legal actions.  SEI has never had a contract terminated, held in default or failed to compete work.
